Listening Skills introduces students to the four different patterns of text organizations: Statement and Example, Cause and Effect, Comparison, and Sequence. Teach students to listen for patterns, help them listen more intently, and establish a framework for notetaking.
As students move to grades 3 and up, reading comprehension is directly correlated to their ability to listen and understand what they've heard.
