We are currently using The Math & Literature Connection book with our ELL students. The teachers have found the book to be extremely useful because it contains stories of high interest and it puts the math in real world context that the students can relate to. Each of the selections is genuinely engaging and includes content area vocabulary that enriches not only the understanding of math but also science and social studies and literature. By using your workbooks in the classroom these students comprehend difficult text because you have presented it in a student friendly format. They particularly like the skills box that focuses their reading and math skills.
